
Mark Swinford has over 25 years experience specialising in the Portrait and Wedding photographic industry.
Training in London, achieving 2 city & guilds qualifications including advanced, alongside one of the leading international wedding and portrait photographers of the century.
Mark holds qualifications in the British Institute of Photography, Master Photographers Association and the Guild of Wedding Photographers. He is also very active in many other specialist groups including the invite only membership of the 1Portrait photographers international, Premier photographers UK and The group with no name.
Marks passion for photography started at school and has never stopped, with hours of studying, going to seminars and continual training, his ability to create modern, contempory images but still using skills gained from the more traditional days of posed imagery, Mark is able to adapt to all situations, offer a fusion of the classical styles along with the more natural reportage approach.
Mark opened the studio in Horsforth in 1994, with one member of staff, the business has now grown into a Limited Company employing many staff, he has a passionate belief in offering personal service, quality and value for money.
Mark has a very hands on approach and offers his wedding clients a unique service, he deals with all bookings personally, from the first consultation through to the collection of the final album.
Marks experience covers many types of ceremonies, including Jewish, Catholic, Civil, Civil Partnerships and many more. The smallest wedding was with 6 people and the largest to date was 750! Mark has a very special ability to be able to control people, getting them in the right place at the right time, without being bossy! then changing to a softly spoken, quiet person, able to bring out the loving tender moments between 2 people, that make his images so unique and special.
Living in West Yorkshire, Near Ilkley, Mark is married to Tracy, with 2 children, Harriet and Charlie and has two dogs, Alf and Burt. Hobbies include walking, travel, partying! and spending as much time as possible with his family.
